This year, the 3rd edition of StartUp Asia Berlin Roadshow (SUAB) took place from October 1 – 7, 2018 in India with an aim to foster deeper connections between the startup hubs Bangalore, Bangkok, Beijing, Berlin, Delhi, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Shenzhen, Singapore.
StartUp Asia Berlin is a Multilateral network connecting the startup ecosystems of China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, and Germany. It’s a one-stop solution for inbound and outbound activities that provide access to key local players for knowledge transfer and market entry targeted to scale-ups, VCs and ecosystem builders.
A delegation of 10-15 startup ecosystem players like VCs, scale-ups, policy makers & ecosystem builders came together to deep dive learning journeys into the respective ecosystems. I was among one of the delegates from India and had an amazing opportunity to represent Z Nation Lab in the other ecosystems of Berlin, Manila & Jakarta.
It was a mixed group of innovators with a lot of bright ideas from very different cultural and professional backgrounds. 7 days full of experience & inspiration, personal exchange of knowledge and ideas, establish partnerships and insights into the works of other striving ecosystems resulting in incredible group chemistry among all the international delegates.
The main goal of StartUp AsiaBerlin (SUAB) was bringing successful start-ups to enter the Indian market and helping international Venture Capital firms to open regional offices in India. StartUp AsiaBerlin (SUAB) also focused on helping India’s start-ups enter the markets of China, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines & creating a first touch-point for start-ups entering the German and European market.
